2023 Children’s Holiday Smile

$150,174 is the amount we managed to raise together with the Children’s Smile Foundation during this year’s charity campaign “Children’s Holiday Smile.” This exceptional initiative has been organized for the 10th time! We sincerely thank everyone who participated in this noble action, because it is thanks to the generosity of our community that we were once again able to help children in need in Poland and the United States.

“I am very pleased with the results of this year’s ‘Holiday Smile of a Child’ campaign. The amount raised, which may seem small, has a huge impact on children who need support. Since 2014, we have been jointly implementing positive changes in the lives of many. It is no coincidence that eight years ago, in response to the suggestion of our Credit Union’s members, we organized the ‘Holiday Smile of a Child’ campaign,” said PSFCU Executive Director, Mr. Bogdan Chmielewski.

Of the total amount raised, $18,995 went to the newly created Children’s Smile Foundation, which has been continuously providing assistance to Polish children affected by fate since 1999. “On behalf of the Children’s Smile Foundation, I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart for participating once again in the ‘Holiday Smile of a Child’ campaign. Thanks to the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union, all employees and members for their generous support, which allows us to continue our mission to help children who need it most,” emphasized Ms. Joanna Gwóźdź, President of the Children’s Smile Foundation. Additionally, among the beneficiaries are: Alma Spei Hospice for Children in Kraków ($51,358), Via Spei Hospice in Tarnów ($40,300), and Betania Hospice Center in Przemyśl ($39,519).

Over the past 10 years of the ‘Holiday Smile of a Child’ charity campaign, we have helped 25 hospices in Poland, a hospice in Vilnius, and the Children’s Smile Foundation in New York. In total, more than one million dollars has been donated to help sick and needy children. These amounts are not just numbers; they are the stories of shared solidarity and care, for which we are very grateful. Your generosity brings not only financial support but also a smile to the faces of the children in the centers we support. Thank you for every donation and every smile we create together!
