Presidential internship under the Patronage of Poland's President Andrzej Duda

Between May 25th and June 3rd, a group of students from the United States completed a summer internship in Poland. The internship was organized by the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland in partnership with the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union.

Students Nicole Bak, Patryk Dabek, Dominik Dajka, Olivia Dul, Victoria Jewula, Veronica Kolacz, Stanislaw Kowalski, Maxim Sasak, Dariusz Slowikowski and Veronica Zielonka completed the internship, during which they visited leading companies and enterprises located in Poland. The young students also met with representatives of the Polish government and business leaders.

The internship, as intended, was a combination of political, economic and cultural exchange, and was also an excellent chance to visit Polish cities. Students visited Warsaw, Lublin, Rzeszow and Mielec, as well as the surrounding areas of these cities: Warka, Chelm, Lancut, and Markowa. During the inauguration ceremony of the 2023 Presidential Internship, President Andrzej Duda presented the young students with diplomas and expressed congratulations and words of appreciation, stressing: „I am glad that you have chosen this program. Poland is one of the best developing European countries.”

As part of the program, PSFCU covered the cost of transportation to Poland and health insurance in Poland for all scholarship recipients. We extend our sincere congratulations to the students and their families, believing that the experience gained during the internship deepened their knowledge of Poland and strengthened the national identity of the young people.
