Eligibility criteria

  • All applicants must be primary PSFCU members who opened their accounts prior to 01.01.2024.
  • Freshmen students (undergraduate) are not eligible.
  • Minimum GPA is 3.4
  • PSFCU Scholarship may be obtained once at each stage of studies, e.g. one as an undergraduate and one as a graduate. Graduate students must complete at least one semester at the graduate level to be eligible.
  • You are eligible to receive the scholarship only if you plan to attend an accredited educational institution in the Fall semester of 2025. All scholarship winners will be required to present a proof of enrollment for that semester. Undergraduate seniors may apply only if they plan to attend a grad school in the Fall semester of 2025. The scholarship funds can be used to pay for tuition, fees, books, supplies or equipment required for courses at the educational institution.
  • Scholarship winners will be required to present proof of enrollment for the fall term before receiving their scholarship.
  • PSFCU employees are not eligible for the PSFCU Scholarship Program.

2025 PSFCU Scholarship Application

PLEASE NOTE! Applications must be filled out online only. Each applicant will receive a verification number after the application is successfully submitted. Please keep this number for your records. The verification number is the only proof that the application was received by PSFCU.

All required documents should be submitted/uploaded in the following format: last_name_first_name_file_name.pdf, eg. Kowalski_Jan_transcript.pdf; Kowalski_Jan_ACT.pdf

Faxed, mailed, e-mailed and hand delivered (left in PSFCU branches) applications will not be considered.

 

Deadline for submitting application

February 21, 2025

Application received after the deadline will not be considered.

 

Letters of reference

  • Two letters of reference: one academic recommendation from a faculty member or instructor that has taught you in college/graduate school and can evaluate your academic performance at college/graduate school level. The second recommendation can be from a professor/ academic instructor, coach, work supervisor, extracurricular activity, or community leader - anyone (other than a family member) whose opinion you feel will be relevant.
  • All reference letters must be submitted through the link provided in the request email by the referring person by March 1, 2025. Applicant should follow up with his/her recommender to obtain the reference letter.

 

Scoring criteria

  • Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate their academic and extracurricular achievements.
  • The Scholarship Application asks for supporting proofs of academic achievement such as the current GPA and the transcript. These are not the only qualifying criteria for the Scholarship Committee. Sustainable commitment to the communities that the PSFCU represents and serves and promising perspectives for the future play integral roles in this application.
  • Candidates are encouraged to adhere to the standards of the application submission.

 

Program results

Winners will be announced in late May.
